A gamer named Terry Garrett has just beaten The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, but here’s the catch: he’s blind.
Back in 2011, Garrett started on his quest to defeat Ganondorf from the Ocarina of Time. He plays the game on his computer by using an emulator and a Xbox controller. He placed the speakers right in front of him so that he could hear the environment, Link’s footsteps, enemies and walls. Its mostly a constant trial-and-error run with a little help from the emulator which enables him to save states.
He plays the game by listening, BY LISTENING! Sure, he has moments where he wants to give up, but with some help from fans, he made it through. I mean, if a blind gamer could do it, whats stopping you from finishing that final boss that has been denying you from finishing the game? At first you don’t succeed, try try again! The rest of the recordings of him clearing the game could be found on his channel.
Oh, and he lifts, too…
